Ghost, the transformation of dead. Ghost, the spirit or the soul of the dead person. Ghosts are the entities who are living in between two different worlds. The Earth and the hell or the heaven. It is said that, the person who leaves the world before getting his desires to be satisfied, comes back as a ghost to accomplish those desires. They are attached to physical world for different reasons like some unfinished business, feelings for someone or a vengeful nature.

We have seen Ghosts in movies, read about them in books & heard from different people about what they have experienced. Every story we have heard has different explanation about ghosts. There are thousands of theories about ghosts. Very mythology and folklore has dissimilar statements about their existence and characteristics. But the fact is no one truly knows about it. No scientific evidence about it. But still we can’t deny the fact that majority of people is believed in it and they have strong explanations about what they have felt. There are some places which have been prohibited by the government and declared them as a haunted place. The reason is no. of people have felt something weird and creepy about that places. But still the question remains the same. What are ghosts? Should we have to afraid of them? Are they dangerous?

According to different mythologies, the human being or any living thing is made up of the five different elements. Air, Water, Fire, Space and Earth. The physical body requires these five elements to live but still there is one more element left, without which any living thing would be just a corpse. The core element is nothing but the Energy. Science also describes that, neither energy be created nor destroyed. It just changes the form. So, when human body dies, the five elements gets back to its origin but the only thing remains is the energy. We have named it as soul or the spirit.

Ghosts are nothing but the soul left after the human life ends. They are trapped in between two different dimension. They have senses but they are unable to physically contact with these five elements. But still there are some loopholes about them. The soul transforms in the ghost form when after their human life still there are things, they are cling to. It might be due to the unnatural death like suicide, accident or any unnatural thing that causes them to death. Due to that they are trying to contact us by giving us different signs. So the question arises, if ghosts can’t physically contact with the real world then how can they manipulate objects in surrounding of real world? Do they have ability to do it? If yes, then how they can get this ability? Do they are more powerful then human beings?

According to Indian mythology, every ghost possesses the different strength and ability according to their nature and how they are turned into ghosts. There are different types of ghosts which possesses the different ability. If we go through Indian mythology, there are different forms of ghosts with extremely different characteristics and abilities. Like Chudail - A feminine ghost. We can loosely describe it as a witch. They possess the monstrous amount of powers and negative energy. The myth is, if any married lady leads to an unnatural death turns into chudail. It is also said that if any lady dies during her pregnancy she turns out as a chudail. She drinks blood, mostly men. She manipulates men and take their life.

A most popular supernatural ghost in Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and Chinese mythology the Preta – A Ghost with extreme and insatiable hunger and thirst. People with greedy and treacherous nature in previous life transforms in the Preta. They have thin necks, small mouths and narrow limbs. Due to that they find it very difficult to eat. They can also turn invisible or change their faces to frighten mortals.

All ghosts are not vengeful but suppose you are in situation when any vengeful ghost tries to harm you by any means and you have to survive then what would you do? Best solution run fast from that creepy place. According to some ancient belief when person dies, cover up all the mirrors till the funeral. Otherwise the soul would have trapped in that mirror. As the mirror reverses everything & reflects it, the characteristics also reverses and soul transforms into the evil spirit.
